A Historic Fredericksburg Wedding | Alexandrea & Kelly

An editorial bridal portrait in a sunlit historic room, designed by Olive & Eden for a Fredericksburg wedding.

There is a specific kind of magic in the Texas Hill Country in November. The air turns crisp, the light softens against the limestone, and there is a sense of history that seems to settle over the landscape.

It was the perfect setting for Alexandrea and Kelly—a couple defined by their warmth, their deep respect for family, and an incredible capacity for joy.

For Alexandrea and Kelly, this wasn’t just an event; it was an invitation into their story. Our goal was to design a rhythm that honored this intent—transitioning seamlessly from the quiet reverence of the ceremony to the magnetic energy of the reception. We ensured the flow of the evening allowed guests to feel less like attendees and more like family.

A Chapel Rooted in History

The day began at the Hill Country Wedding Chapel, a newly restored gem in Fredericksburg that feels like stepping back in time. This isn’t just a venue; it is a piece of local history, family-owned and operated for decades.

The chapel is rich with stories, cared for by owners who are truly one-of-a-kind—generous people who pour their hearts into the space. That spirit of care mirrored Alexandrea and Kelly’s own values perfectly. Standing at the altar, surrounded by the people who have shaped them, the ceremony felt grounded and intimate, holding space for the weight and beauty of the vows being exchanged.

An Evening in the “Italian Countryside”

For the reception, the celebration moved to Alla Campagna. Walking into this space felt like entering a historic home in the Italian countryside that delivered a one-of-a-kind private-dining culinary experience.

The atmosphere was already rich with texture—original limestone walls, warm wood paneling, and a curated collection of vintage gold frames that lined the walls. It felt established, lived-in, and welcoming.

It felt like walking into a piece of Alexandrea and Kelly’s life—warm, authentic, and deeply personal. With a venue rich in architectural character, our approach was one of intentional restraint rather than heavy transformation. We focused on preserving the space’s authenticity, ensuring the design supported the atmosphere so the room could be filled with the laughter and conversation of their favorite people.

Honoring Heritage & Embracing Joy

Alexandrea and Kelly’s priority for the evening was simple: they wanted their friends and family to feel cherished.

They bridged the gap between tradition and modern celebration seamlessly. In a beautiful nod to her heritage, Alexandrea and Kelly changed into a traditional Vietnamese Ao Dai, honoring her lineage and adding a layer of deep personal significance to the evening.

But they also knew how to bring the party.

The energy in the room was magnetic. To ensure they connected with every single person, we orchestrated high-energy table visits with shots at every table—a moment that filled the room with cheers and laughter. It was the perfect representation of their dynamic: deeply sentimental, but always ready for a good time.

A Night to Remember

The night ended exactly as they hoped: with good food, late-night snacks, and a dance floor that was never empty.

Alexandrea and Kelly are the kind of couple who pull people in and bring them together. Their friends and family were the heartbeat of the party, surrounding them with love and energy until the very last song. It was a beautiful reminder that while the setting sets the tone, it is the people who make the wedding.

Congratulations, Alexandrea and Kelly. It was an honor to witness your story unfold.
